How to download an Instagram video or Reel
Open the public Reel or post in Instagram, choose Share, then Copy link. Paste the complete link above and press Download now. When the result appears, choose the video button, or MP3 audio when that separate option is shown. This works in a browser, so no separate downloader app or Instagram sign-in is needed for a public link.
Use the link to one public post
This page accepts a public Reel link or public post link. A post may contain one video, one photo, or a carousel mixing both. Copy the item’s own link, not a profile, search result, Story, or Highlight address. Stories, Highlights, and profile links are not supported. Private, restricted, removed, or sign-in-only posts cannot return a result.
Choose one item from an Instagram carousel
A carousel returns one result card for each available item and keeps the post order. Image and video labels are counted separately. For a carousel containing a photo, two videos, then another photo, the buttons read Download image 1, Download video 1, Download video 2, and Download image 2. Select only the card you want, or save the items one by one.
Choose the file that matches the post
A video result is offered as MP4. An image keeps the compatible format supplied for that item. If a video result includes sound, the separate MP3 audio button saves only the audio; photo-only results do not show it. The available version depends on the post and may be a processed copy, so there is no fixed resolution or file size.
What to check when an Instagram link fails
Open the exact Reel or post again and copy its complete link. Confirm that the item still appears publicly without asking for a sign-in. A profile address points to an account rather than one supported post, while a Story or Highlight is unsupported. If the item was deleted, made private, or limited to certain viewers, choose a different public post.
Find the saved file on your device
On iPhone or iPad, open Files and look in Downloads. To place a video in Photos, open the file and use Share, then Save Video when available. On Android, check Downloads or the browser’s download list. On Windows or Mac, use Downloads unless you selected another location in the browser.
