About the tool and how to use it

How to download a Facebook video or Reel

Open the public video post or Reel on Facebook and choose Copy link from its sharing controls. Paste the complete link into the field above, then select Download now. When the result appears, choose the video button to save the clip, or MP3 audio when you only need the sound. You do not need a Facebook sign-in, a separate app, or a browser extension for a public link.

Which Facebook links work

This page is for a video inside a public Facebook post and for a public Reel. Copy the link to the post itself, not a profile, group, search result, or comment. A link limited to friends, a post inside a closed group, a deleted post, and a Facebook Story are not supported. If you are unsure whether a post is public, open its link in a private browsing window while signed out. If Facebook asks you to sign in before showing the post, this page cannot open it.

Choose video or MP3 from the result

The available choices come from that Facebook post, so the list can differ from one link to another. Use the video option for the picture and sound together. Choose MP3 audio when the result offers it and you want only the audio from the clip. The page does not promise a fixed resolution or a particular file size before the link is checked.

Find the saved file on your device

On iPhone or iPad, Safari normally puts the download in the Files app under Downloads. Open the saved video there, then use Share and Save Video if you want it in Photos. On Android, check Downloads or the Downloads section of your browser. On a Windows PC or Mac, open the Downloads folder unless you chose another location in your browser settings.

What to check when a Facebook link fails

First, make sure the copied address opens the exact video post or Reel. Copy it again from Facebook if it was cut off. Next, confirm that the post is still visible publicly and is not a Story. A page or profile address does not identify one video, so return to the clip and copy its own link. If a Facebook Live broadcast has ended, try the replay only when it appears as a public video post. An active broadcast is not promised by this page.

Use downloaded Facebook videos responsibly

Save only content you are allowed to use. A public link does not transfer copyright or permission to repost the video. Check the creator's terms before publishing, editing, or sharing a copy. Read the Terms of Use and copyright information for site rules. For another public post type, use the Instagram downloader, or return to the video downloader home page. Answers about supported links and saved files are also available in the help page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download a video from Facebook?

Open the public video post or Reel, choose Share or the three dots, and then Copy link. Paste the complete link in the field above, press "Download now", and choose the video button or "MP3 audio" from the result.

Can I download a Facebook Reel?

Yes, when the Reel is public. Copy the link to the Reel itself, paste it above, and choose the available result. Private or deleted Reels and Facebook Stories are not supported.

Why can I not download a Facebook video or Reel?

Check that the complete link opens the exact post while you are signed out. Links limited to friends, posts in closed groups, deleted posts, Stories, profile pages, and group pages do not identify a supported public video.

Can I download a Facebook Story?

No. Facebook Stories are not supported. Use the link to a public video post or public Reel instead.

Can I download a Facebook Live video?

This page does not promise an active broadcast. After it ends, try the replay only when Facebook shows it as a public video post; the result will tell you whether a video is available.

What Facebook video quality will I get?

The result shows the video choice available for that post. The page does not promise a fixed resolution or file size before the link is checked.

How do I turn a Facebook video into MP3?

Paste the public video or Reel link and choose "MP3 audio" when it appears in the result. That option gives you the audio from the clip without the picture.

Where is a Facebook video saved on iPhone, Android, or a computer?

On iPhone or iPad, look in Files under Downloads. On Android, check Downloads or your browser's download list. On a computer, open the Downloads folder unless you chose another location.

Is the Facebook video downloader free, and do I need an app?

The page is free to use in your browser. No separate app, browser extension, or Facebook sign-in is needed for a public link, and the page has no ad banners or pop-ups.
