How to download a Facebook video or Reel

You do not need a Facebook sign-in, a separate app, or a browser extension for a public link.
Which Facebook links work
This page is for a video inside a public Facebook post and for a public Reel. Copy the link to the post itself, not a profile, group, search result, or comment. A link limited to friends, a post inside a closed group, a deleted post, and a Facebook Story are not supported. If you are unsure whether a post is public, open its link in a private browsing window while signed out. If Facebook asks you to sign in before showing the post, this page cannot open it.
Choose video or MP3 from the result
The available choices come from that Facebook post, so the list can differ from one link to another. Use the video option for the picture and sound together. Find the saved file on your device
On iPhone or iPad, Safari normally puts the download in the Files app under Downloads. Open the saved video there, then use Share and Save Video if you want it in Photos.
